Call For Evidence

The UK Government has today announced a call for evidence, to inform the mental health strategy for England within a new ten-year health plan.

We have until the 10th July 2026 to make our views known.

The cynic in me will admit to wondering a little about whether this will really change the world.  I was minded to remember the Crisis Care Concordat, the Five Year Forward View, and the last ten-year strategy known as the Long Term Plan, Incidentally, the relevant decade for the latter plan has not yet expired, and yet it has already been archived by the Government, despite having three years left to run!

We are where we are, I suppose and we should probably acknowledge this Government is not responsible for those previous strategies or any perceived failures around them.

So, get your thinking caps on and make your voice known, for whatever it’s worth.  I know I will.
